Maggi is a much-loved brand held in the homes and hearts of many. Producing soups, instant noodles and – mostly notably in Thailand – cooking sauces, it has become a favourite in kitchens around the world due to its consistently delicious flavours. With the new Oyster Sauce, Maggi has improved its recipe to ensure consumers’ taste buds are still pleasantly surprised by the delights of Maggi sauces.
In order to keep Maggi Oyster Sauce competitive, Nestlé has re-launched the sauce with a new recipe that promises a well balanced and rich oyster taste. Referred to as ‘klom kloam’, the new recipe retains its delicious oyster flavour, even when diluted during cooking. It was important to showcase this on the packaging design, to ensure consumers clearly and quickly grasp the benefits of the re-launched product.
To convey the delicious, authentic oyster taste, Brand New Day crafted a new bottle label featuring a real oyster at the heart of the design. With a thick, tasty and fresh sauce pouring directly from the oyster over the food, the message of just how authentic the sauce will taste is immediately highlighted. Moreover it alludes to the taste that consumers can expect of the sauce, with the added benefit of ‘klom kloam’ promising a consistent flavour that doesn’t lose its zing when incorporated into any delicious dish.
