Background

Travel technology provider Amadeus has one of the most tech-forward travel agency booking platforms in the world. Their innovative technology allows agents to offer quick, easy to manage, and hassle free travel bookings, by having real time access to multiple airlines that also use Amadeus technology. The platform also records and automatically updates and utilizes passenger preferences across cabin class, seats, meals, and loyalty reward programmes.

Challenge

Amadeus has a unique selling point; its platform is shared directly with airlines, meaning more accurate, real time information and a seamless booking process for travel agents. But competition in their industry is tough, with competitors offering incentives directly to travel agents.

Amadeus sought to convert agents that were using competitors’ booking platforms, through an educational print and online campaign around the benefits of using their platform, and how these benefits far exceeded the incentives provided by competing technology platforms.

Solution

Brand New Day created a marketing and communications campaign that directly reflected the benefits for passengers and agents that used Amadeus, both on a practical and emotive level. The campaign was colourful and eye-catching, with a playful tagline that Brand New Day coined ‘Get onboard’.

The campaign coincided with a roadshow that aimed to assist Amadeus in increasing conversions of agents to their platform and visits to the central site, along with visits to the microsite especially created for the campaign.
