Sense Tea Studio is a newly launched brand of tea that combines the traditional art of brewing with the added health benefits that can be gained from drinking quality teas. Targeting consumers in shopping malls and supermarkets, Sense Tea Studio seek to leverage their creative positioning as a tea that’s not only delicious and good for you, but one that you can customize and brew to your own tastes.
In a competitive market of tea brands, Sense Tea Studio needed to make a strong impact upon shelves and customers’ minds. Already having a strong positioning as a both a tasty and beneficial product, the challenge was to create a packaging design that clearly communicated this, while also positioning itself as a premium product against other well established tea brands. In order to sway consumers’ decisions to try something new, Brand New Day needed to create a packaging design that was both unique and outstanding.
Brand New Day designed the new packaging to best represent the brand and its values. The clean design, using mainly white with accent colours for product variants, communicated the healthy, cleansing aspect of their teas. Creative tea leaf illustrations provided elegant artwork that gave clear visuals as to the product’s main benefit – for example a heart shape for the rejuvenating tea. The back of the packaging further allows consumers to learn more about the brand in an easy to digest format, showing the location and a brief history of the particular tea leafs, as well as Sense Tea Studio’s message of harmony and responsible practices.
